Equipment ambient temperature range shall be suitable for site and process ambient condition including external factors that may affect the temperature.
Equipment IP rating shall be suitable for the site condition and relevant protection techniques, refer Section 5.9 in AS/NZS 60079.14:2022.
For installations where the layer of dust is > 5 mm or unavoidable, a derating factor must be considered to determine the maximum surface temperature. Refer Section 5.6.3 in AS/NZS 60079.14:2022 for more guidance.
